I've no idea who wrote the following '7 Rules of Life' but there is more than a grain of truth in them.
- Make peace with your past so it doesn't interfere with your present.
- Don't concern yourself with what others think of you.
- Time heals almost everything so just give it time.
- Don't compare your life to others and don't judge them. You have no idea what their life's journey is about.
- Stop worrying so much. It's okay not to always know the answers, they will come to you when you least expect it.
- No-one is in charge of your happiness except you.
- Take a deep breath and smile. Not all the problems in the world are yours.
Although they may seem a little corny I believe it's well worth giving them a go. If September is looking a little bleak why not try living by these 'rules' for the next 30 days and see how your life and general happiness improve. They work for many people and I hope they'll work for you too.
